We obtained the FirmWorks program as a way to streamline our operations and prevent
us from having to go to various different programs to enter data. The program has
worked extremely well and there is no doubt in our minds that it paid for itself
within a short period of time. There are always some programs that work for our
firm and some that aren?t quite satisfactory. FirmWorks is definitely in the ?works
very well for our firm? category.

FirmWorks is a time saver during my billing cycle. I no longer have to guess at
fixed fee commitments. Engagement letters are electronically stored in FirmWorks
so that I can see the letter, confirm the fee and review prior communications with
a few mouse clicks. Compared to chasing down hard copies of the engagement letter,
I'm saving about 45 minutes per billing cycle. The time savings really adds up when
you consider the number of people billing over a year's time.

More time went into our purchase of FirmWorks than on any other software package
that we currently own. There is a reason for that. We have been looking long and
hard for a package that managed our workflow, interaction with our clients and centers
of influence, and opportunities (marketing oriented). We've made attempts over the
years to develop our own and have expended great amounts of time and effort in utilizing
the packaged approach provided in so called practice management software, most recently
CPAS. Most practice management packages for accounting firms only track tax work.
We wanted much more. Tax return tracking handles with ease. We now know where returns
are, how long they have been at that stage, the budget for that return, date promised
if different than due date, etc. The tracking does such a great job, we have dropped
our 3 part "Work Order" and log in book. This alone is a savings in time and therefore
cost to the company. Client comments and request for work. The improvement here
is night and day. Now, via activities, we capture any contact with a client that
requests work, provides information, asks questions, etc. We have cut down on the
"filing" time now that all notes are electronic. Retrieval of notes are a time saving
feature. There is now 10 (maybe 100+) times the amount of information captured.
Capturing client comments is now so easy that our team is actually capturing comments.
Imagine the improvement in the process of doing work and in the quality of the work.
All project tracking. In less than 3 months, we have half the work of the entire
company in FirmWorks. One big problem was to obtain information about everyone's
workload. Team members had to manually update work in process reports and then had
to meet. My complaint was that Ford Motor Company knew how many cars were on the
assembly line and scheduled delivery dates, why can't we? Now we can. We believe
that we have only begun to tap the capabilities of project tracking. We also expect
tremendous centralization of opportunities in this area in the future. Yes we have
an Intranet, but we have begun to gravitate our internal system to FirmWorks' Knowledge
Manager because it is much more efficient. FirmWorks is helping us move toward a
paperless office. With electronic storage and association with clients that FirmWorks
provides as a standard, we are scanning documents and dropping them into an activity
associated with the client. Retrieving documents has never been easier. One last
item. FirmWorks is not an off the shelf product. You want it tweaked? You want a
slightly different look? We have found that in 8 out of 10 cases, the people at
Knowledge Concepts are always one step ahead. If it's not in the current version,
they've thought about it, and it will be in the next version. And if they haven't
thought about it, if it makes sense, they'll have it done next week.

FirmWorks greatly improves the EFFICIENCY and the COORDINATION of our firm's marketing
efforts. Efficiency because of the great flexibility in performing mail merges,
mailing labels, and much more. Coordination because marketing follow-up activities
